Macau Famous Double Skin Milk!! (澳门双皮奶)

We did some research before we go to HK and a lot of people mentioned that this shop is the most famous shop for the double skin milk ('xiong pei nai' 双皮奶) in Macau. So here I go...

义顺鲜奶(牛奶)公司

the entrance

see, lot's of 'xiong pei nai'..

It's a small shop, two storey, only a few tables inside. When we walked in, we were lucky that there's people leaving, else we got no place to sit also.

the menu

ginger 'xiong pei nai' (hot)

original 'xiong pei nai' (cold)

Two 'xiong pei nai' costs us HKD 34, not cheap also... How it taste? I shall say I prefer the ginger one, the original one taste very geli. I'm ok with milk but I can't stand the smell.. hehe.. The ginger one taste better! But it's still worth to try!

Macau Portuguese EggTart (澳门葡挞)

When you talk about Macau? What is the first thing you will think of? Casino? erm.. ok, I mean food lar, what is the first thing that came across your mind? Portuguese Egg Tart!! Yes that's right!!

I'm not really a fan of Portuguese egg Tart, I prefer the normal egg tart, but since it's the famous food in Macau, then have to try lar..

This small shop is just beside the Yik Shun 'Xiong Pei Nai' (义顺 - 双皮奶). I think most of his business come from the customer from Yik Shun. hehe...

We bought two to try..

HKD 7 each

I'm not sure this shop is the famous shop for Portuguese egg tart or not, but to me, it taste normal only lar. I still prefer the egg tart from Pie & Tart Specialist (蛋挞专门店).

How a plastic surgeon helps a girl to regain her confidence

I went out for lunch with Sandy just now. During lunch, Sandy told me how her cousin, Ally regained her confidence after the car accident. Ally was a beautiful girl, a car accident took away her pretty face and since then she had changed from a confidence, optimistic girl to a person who is pessimistic and lack of self confidence.

Ally stopped contacting her friends and rarely leaves her room since the accident until she pays a visit to the plastic surgeon from Denver Plastic Surgery. After she undergoes the surgery, she now started to feel confidence again. I'm really happy for her!

Yummy yummy Hong Kong Lor Mai Gai

Before my trip to HK, I told myself I have to try their Lor mai gai (glutinous rice chicken, 糯米鸡). But when we had the HK dim sum for lunch on the 3rd day of our trip, FL ordered wrongly, he thought he ordered lor mai gai but that one turned out to be paper wrapped chicken!! So till now I still haven't had the chance to try lor mai gai yet.

When we were on the way to the sports shoes street (波鞋街) to shop for Nike sports shoes (after we were back from HK Disneyland), we passed by this little shop which sells lor mai gai, some dim sum + bao. Yay, I still got chance to eat HK Lor mai gai!!

Their lor mai gai looks a bit different than the one we have here. It's much more bigger and the lor mai gai is wrapped with banana leaves (i think...it's banana leaves. hehe..)

Unlike our lor mai gai, this one is white in color. The chicken is at the bottom. Smells really nice and taste really good! oooo.. I love lor mai gai, I love HK lor mai gai!!

Vitasoy, original and honey dew flavor
维他奶

I don't like soya drinks but a lot of people told me this is a MUST drink thing in HK. So i bought one packet at the 7-11 opposite my hotel to try on the first day. Since then, I bought 1 packet EVERYDAY!!(on the last night, i bought 2 packets!! hehe..) It's really nice, not too sweet, even me who doesn't like soya drinks love this!!

and this.. what's the name for this ar?

this taste so so only, why? cos they add soy sauce on top and there's no chili sauce! taste a bit weird la..the lor mai gai + this costs us HKD 26, not cheap also... but really should try the lor mai gai lar.. taste really good!!

The best sausage roll I've ever had at Hong Kong Disneyland

The HK Disneyland is not very big but still we took almost a whole day visiting or rather queuing to visit each and every corner of Disneyland. It was already 7pm+, the fireworks will be at 9pm. We were both tired and a bit hungry, therefore we decided to have a break and have some snacks at the bakery shop on the main street of Disneyland.

the bakery shop

the menu
hmm, not too expensive also wor, right?

wow, everything looks so delicious and
smells good too!

nice paper bag with disneyland logo

Iced Tea, HKD 15

Sausage Roll, HKD 22
looks really big and delicious! yum yum!

see, huge right?

egg tart, HKD12

The sausage roll is more expensive than the Iced Tea but it is really really VERY nice!! The bread is very very fresh, you should really try if you visit to HK Disneyland one day.

Our lunch at Hong Kong Disneyland

After a few hours walking under the hot sun at HK Disneyland, we decided to take a rest and have our lunch. There are a few restaurants/food court there with different themes. (depend where you are) We were at somewhere near Tarzan's tree house, so this is the place we're having our dinner.

not bad right? it's like eating in the forest.

There are not really that much of choice there, got rice, got mee..We were hungry and tired so both of us ordered rice.

BBQ pork rice (Char Siu Fan 叉烧饭), HKD 50
and a plate of vege (cabbage), HKD 15

Three Treasure Rice (三宝饭), HKD 50
and a cup of Pear Sweetened Soup, HKD 15

Eating at disneyland is a bit expensive. This meal costs us HKD 130, approx RM 60+. But then again, even we the food at Genting also more expensive lor.. So the price still reasonable lar. You can see there's really a lot of rice, both of us also can't finished it. How it taste? Not bad actually...I like the cabage and the tong shui. taste nice!

This is the 4th day of our trip in Hong Kong. Today we have to eat FULL FULL. why? We're going to the HK Disneyland!!! A lot of walking, a lot of sweating.. so breakfast have to be full, right? Again, we picked a char chan teng near our hotel (ya, there's really a lot of char chan teng around the hotel we stayed..)

明苑粉面茶餐厅

I forgot this is ice tea of ice coffee. hehe, but looks nice right?

this one is very nice!! sweet, and SPICY!!

my minced meat mee, not bad, but not as nice as the
one I had on the first day at Eat to New(新之食).

soup

FL was addicted to the beef noodle 'ngao lam min' (牛腩面) he had yesterday. So this morning he ordered the same thing again, but it's not as nice as the one he had yesterday.

Overall the breakfast here is normal, not bad but not so good as well. Price about the same, about HKD 30 per person.

How I used my HSBC birthday present

Remember my little birthday present from HSBC? How did I spend it? Well, here's how...

I went to genting on my bday and decided to use the HSBC StarBucks birthday cash voucher and the HSBC RM 10 StarBucks Coffee Gift Certificate? there.

For the birthday cash voucher, they required me to show them my HSBC card and I need to write down my name and my phone number at the back of the voucher. I got a cup of coffee and also a slice of cake, they let me choose any cake I want!

A cup of coffee, not really nice lar..

forgot what cake is this, but it's nice!

I finally tried the Hong Kong Wan Tan Mee with BIG wan tan!! (香港云吞面)

When my friends know I'm going to Hong Kong, the first thing they told me was, must try their wan tan ya.. big big wan tan!! After we were back to our hotel from Lantau Island, we headed out again to find food at the Ladies Street there. That is when we saw this small shop...

They got sell all kinds of mee,
wan tan mee, beef noodle, and etc etc etc.

FL ordered the beef noodle, looks really nice and taste good too! Till now, when talked about HK, he will tell me he miss this beef noodle, ‘ngao lam min' (牛腩面).

What about me?
Well, I sure order the wan tan mee lar!!
Where's my big big wan tan??

see, wow, super big and super nice!!

The wan tan mee taste good and the wan tan taste GREAT!! Oh ya, I added chili into my soup, that's y it's red in color. hehe.. We paid HKD 36 for two bowls of mee! Consider quite cheap lar, other place at least HKD 20+ per bowl! FL miss the beef noodle, and me, I miss their big big wan tan!!

Pie & Tart Specialist (蛋挞专门店)

Everybody says egg tart in HK is a must try thing but this is my third day in HK and I can't seems to find any. How come no sign of egg tart? Then finally when we were back from Lantau Island to Tung Chung (东涌), somewhere near the MTR station, we saw this shop that sells egg tart!! FINALLY, egg tarts, egg tarts, I'm COMING!!

Pie & Tart Specialist (蛋挞专门店)

Egg Tart, HKD 6 each

There are a lot of things beside egg tart but we only bought two egg tarts to try. According to our friend, this shop is quite famous in HK. Although I got no chance to try the egg tart at those Char Chan Teng, but this one taste good too. Much more better than the egg tart here!!

Ahh, I miss the egg tart.. very very much!!
