A Zhong Mi Sua @ Xi Men Ting & Shilin Night Market (阿宗麵線@西门町和士林夜市)

One of the must try food in Taiwan is their famous O-Ah-Mi Sua!! And of cos, if want to eat, sure must eat the MOST famous one lor..right?

A Zhong Mi Sua @ Xi Men Ting
(阿宗麵線 - 西门町)

Don't ask me for the direction. I'm not sure where's this shop, we walk walk, walk, shop, shop, turn turn, then smell smell.. hehe...first you smell, then u will see a big crowd outside the shop, then u know u have found the place. :p

There are no place for you to sit at this Xi men Ting branch. You ordered and paid at the counter, and after that, just stand outside the shop and eat...

A Zhong Mian Xian @ Shilin Night Market
(阿宗麵線 - 士林夜市)

Same thing happened when we were at the Shilin Night Market. Walk walk, smell smell, big crowd...and tah-dah...you're there. hehe...

As for the Shilin night market branch, there are places for you to sit. But a lot of ppl still choose to stand outside and eat, reason? inside quite stuffy and hot. No matter what, you still need to hold the bowl of mi sua, cos there's no table inside the shop, only bench for you to sit.

they got sell their chili and sauces..

first is chili sauce, second is sauce in garlic and
the third is .. i'm not sure what is it.. hehe..
their chili is the best!! very very spicy, make sure
you add lot's of lot's of it into your mi sua..
damn syok!!!

O-A Mi sua, nt 40/RM 4.70 (small)

Before I try, I thought I will not like it. But after I tasted it, I LOVE it!! I ate 3 bowls throughout my whole 6D5N trip in Taipei!! I strongly recommend this to all of you, especially those who plan to go Taiwan, make sure you try this.. remember ya...

So yummy......

Taiwan Food - Restoran D'licious @ Manjalara (别不同台湾小吃馆)

We went to Taiwan last December and since then, we found ourselves miss Taiwan food a lot. That is why we went to this shop few weeks ago.

Taiwan Food Restoran D'licious @ Manjalara
别不同台湾小吃馆

the menu

my passion fruit drink, RM 2.90
hmm, this is nice!!

Ai Yue Jelly, RM 2.90
this one just normal lar..

FL's Dong Bo Rice, RM 8.90

which comes with the soup

can you guess what I ordered by looking at the big spoon?

I ordered a bowl of plain rice, RM 1.80

and the Szechuan Style Steamboat (四川火锅)
RM 13.90
Seriously, this is not very nice,
but got quite a lot of ingredients

Dumplings (水饺), RM 4.9
this is nice!!

I wanted to buy one of these cos my passion fruit drink is really nice! But after hearing the price, I decided not to buy. How much per bottle? RM 20!! expensive lar..

Our bill adds up to RM 41.27 which includes 5% service charge. To me I feel their snacks like dumpling are nice but the main dishes like rice and the steamboat is just normal. Nothing special.. I will visit this shop again, but I think I will only try their snacks next time.

Taiwan's Onion Pancake (葱抓饼)

After we visited Bitan (碧潭) and tried the King of Tau Fu Fa (豆花大王), we walked down the street to see what else to eat before we headed back to the XinDian (新店) MRT station. There are a few stalls there, some selling 'bao', some selling pork blood kuih (yucky..). We didn't try any of these, the homemade 'bao' looks good but they need us to buy in bulk, at least 6!! How to finish wor...and for the pork blood kuih, we dare not try, looks disgusting!!

As we walked further, I smell something, nice smell lar of cos.. Then I saw a stall and there are a few ppl surrounding it.

the original Taiwan Onion Pancake!!
I want to try I want to try!!

this is the equipment he used to flatten the flour dough

First, he pulled out the tray and put a dough on it. Then he pushed in, and there's a paddle somewhere down there. When he stepped on it, the equipment will flatten the dough.

see? when he pulled the tray out, the dough had been flatten

looks like our roti canai hor..

Smells REALLY good!!

You can choose to add stuff in your onion pancake, can add egg lar, bacon lar, cheese lar, sausage lar... But we decided to try the original plain onion pancake..

original onion pancake 葱抓饼, nt 25 (RM 2.90)

I tell you this thing is sooooo tasty!! It's hot and crunchy and smells really good!! Argg...I miss the Taiwan onion pancake so much!! When will I have the chance to try this again?

The king of Tau Fu Fa (豆花大王)

We left Wulai (乌来) by bus and headed to Bitan (碧潭). After taking some photos, we walked around to find something to drink. That's when we found this shop..

The king of Tau Fu Fa (豆花大王)
the shop name attracted us.. hehe..

you can mix and match the tao fu fa with red bean, green bean,
tong yuen, barley, cincao and etc.
besides tao fu fa, there are some other deserts too..

i ordered the red bean + tao fu fa (hot), nt 30
(RM 3.50)

FL's tong yuen + tao fu fa (cold), nt30
(RM 3.50)

There's nothing really special about this tao fu fa except you can mix and match. The taste is just normal, nothing great. That is why, a shop with a good name can really help to get more business. hehe...

Shop for home medical equiments

When David told me he plan to buy some home medical equipment when he move into his new house next month, the first thing that came across my mind is AllegroMedical.com. Allegro Medical is one of the largest independently owned online retailers in the United States. So this is the best place for David to shop home medical stuff for his new house.

I told David he can get everything he needs at Allegro Medical. Their website is very user friendly and it is very easy to find the things we need. We can browse the products by categories such as daily living aids, children/pediatric, emergency preparation, exercise/fitness, maternity care, wound care supplies and etc.

Grilled MuaJi from Wulai (柠檬山粉圆&拷麻薯)

You can see almost every stall selling this drink, lemon 'shan fen yuan' 柠檬山粉圆 (sorry, really no idea what it is called in English, in fact I have no idea what is it.. hehe) at the Ulay's(乌来) old street. Out of curiosity, we decided to try it out!

it's something like barley but it's rounder.
there is a seed inside, black in color.
and it's tasteless...

柠檬山粉圆

Besides selling the drink, this stall also sell grilled muaji. I'm not a fan of 'mua ji' but I've nv seen or tried grilled mua ji before.

There are a few flavors for you to choose. Mua Ji with honey, peanut, sesame, chocolate, condensed milk, brown sugar and etc. You can mix two flavors in one. We don't know which to choose and the person suggested us to try the sesame + peanut.

Sesame + peanut mua ji (拷麻薯)

How it taste? It taste quite nice, not too sweet, just nice. It's definitely tastier than those we had here (mua ji + peanut). The mua ji + drinks costs nt 60 (approx Rm 7.2), not cheap but I think it's worth to try!!
